2 Maccabees

2:7 When Jeremiah heard of this, he reproved them: “The place is to remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows them mercy.8Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will be seen, just as they appeared in the time of Moses and of Solomon when he prayed that the place* might be greatly sanctified.”c

9It is also related how Solomon in his wisdom offered a sacrifice for the dedication and the completion of the temple.10Just as Moses prayed to the Lord and fire descended from the sky and consumed the sacrifices, so also Solomon prayed and fire came down and consumed the burnt offerings.d11* Moses had said, “Because it had not been eaten, the purification offering was consumed.”e12Solomon also celebrated the feast in the same way for eight days.

13These same things are also told in the records and in Nehemiah’s memoirs,* as well as how he founded a library and collected the books about the kings and the prophets, the books of David, and the royal letters about votive offerings.14In like manner Judas also collected for us all the books that had been scattered because of the war, and we now have them in our possession.f15If you need them, send messengers to get them for you.

16As we are about to celebrate the purification, we are writing: you should celebrate the feast days.17It is God who has saved all his people and has restored to all of them their inheritance, the kingdom, the priesthood, and the sacred rites,18as he promised through the law. For we hope in God, that he will soon have mercy on us and gather us together from everywhere under the heavens to his holy place, for he has rescued us from great perils and has purified the place.g

 யூதர் பஸ்கா – பெந்தகோஸ்தே – கூடாரம் இயற்கை வழிபாடு பண்டிகைகள்

https://pagadhu.blogspot.com/2021/01/blog-post_10.html

2 Chronicles 35:18 Passover hadn’t been celebrated like this since the time of Samuel the prophet! None of the kings of Israel had ever celebrated a Passover like this. King Josiah, the priests, the Levites, and the people of Judah and Israel who were there with all the people in Jerusalem celebrated the Passover in a very special way. 19 They celebrated this Passover in Josiah’s 18th year as king.

Nehemiah 8:17 The whole group that had come back from captivity built shelters. They lived in the shelters they had built. Since the days of Joshua son of Nun up until that day, the Israelites had not celebrated the Festival of Shelters like this. Everyone was very happy!

Book of the Law Found in the Temple

2 Kings 22: 8 Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the secretary, “Look, I found the Book of the Law[a] in the Lord’s Temple!” Hilkiah gave the book to Shaphan, and Shaphan read it.9 He went to King Josiah and told him what happened. Shaphan said, “Your servants have gathered all the money that was in the Temple. They gave it to the men who supervise the work on the Lord’s Temple.” 10 Then he told the king, “And Hilkiah the priest also gave this book to me.” Then Shaphan read the book to the king. 11 When the king heard the words of the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes to show he was sad and upset. 12 Then he gave a command to Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam son of Shaphan, Acbor son of Micaiah, Shaphan the secretary, and Asaiah the king’s servant. 13 King Josiah said, “Go and ask the Lord what we should do. Ask for me, for the people, and for all Judah. Ask about the words of this book that was found. The Lord is angry with us, because our ancestors did not listen to the words of this book. They did not obey all the commands that were written for us.”

2 Chronicles 35: 16 So everything was done that day for the worship of the Lord as King Josiah commanded. The Passover was celebrated and the burnt offerings were offered on the Lord’s altar. 17 The Israelites who were there celebrated Passover and the Festival of Unleavened Bread for seven days. 18 Passover hadn’t been celebrated like this since the time of Samuel the prophet!

The Christian Bible today is sub-divided as Old Testament(OT) and New Testament(NT). The OT is the holy mythology of Jewish religion and they call it  as TANAKH- Which expands to three divisions namely 1. Torah -Law 2. Neviim -Prophets & 3. Kethuvim -Writings. The number of books in Old testament varies between Catholics- 46, Eastern Orthodox - 49 and Protestants -39books. If we analyze Gospels we can see that the 3rd portion Ketuvim was not compiled as the OT is referred as Law(a) and Prophets in few places, and in only one verse, Psalms is additionally named in the portion(b) which is composed in either last decade of the first century or later.

a. Matt 5:17, 7:12, 22:40, 23:34 Luk 16:16 John 1:45, 46 Act 13:15, 24:14  Rom 3:21

b. Luk 24: 44
